About 'Visit Waiheke'

Visit Waiheke was started in 2003 by  Bruce and Gabrielle Young of Giverny Inn, a Waiheke Bed and Breakfast. 

Through local knowledge, relationships and transparancy the business grew and in 2006 it was sold to Rita Schelterna who was based in Auckland.

In 2008 we bought the company,  the business returing to locals of Waiheke once again.

Both Nique and I are passionate about the island, having owned a family home in Sandy Bay for over 10 years. We have been raising 3 children over that time, 2 of which were born on Waiheke.

Being part of the greater Auckland accommodation pool and only a 35 minutes ferry ride from the CBD, we realise that Waiheke Island is a holiday destination for many Aucklanders wanting to escape the city grind or travelers wanting to see what the greater Auckland region has to offer.  Through our love of the island and local knowledge we hope that we can share a piece of our Waiheke Island paradise with you.

Having both travelled extensively to over 60 countries between us, we realise the need for good quality, well equipped holiday homes. Enjoy your stay on Waiheke island.
