Palm Beach Retreat

With a north-facing hilltop position looking out over Palm Beach, this spacious 3-bedroom holiday home can sleep up to 13 guests, making it ideal for large families, groups or even small corporate retreats. Generous living area seating, including multiple couches and a table for 13, offers the perfect setup for mingling, making memories or holding meetings.

Enjoy indoor-outdoor flow like never before, with a huge lounge that opens on 2 sides, one onto a large entertaining deck with expansive sea views and seating for 10. Retractable awnings offer year-round protection from the elements, while a heat pump keeps winter stays comfortable.

Beautifully landscaped with walkways, a pergola and many outdoor seats for admiring the view, the house features a charming garden setting you won’t soon forget. Relax with a glass or wine or read a book in these tranquil and lovely surroundings. With easy drive-on access and room to park a trailer boat, this premium Waiheke accommodation is also 10 minutes’ walk to Palm Beach, a smaller, sandy beach with calm waters suitable for swimming.

3 bedrooms downstairs with split King bed, Queen bed and a set of bunks with a rollaway. Masterbedroom upstairs with split King bed and ensuite, and a fold out couch (that sleeps 2).

Shower and toilet downstairs. Ensuite upstairs has small bath, toilet and shower.

Kitchen:
Fully equipped with electric wall stove and 4 burner gas hob, dishwasher, microwave, fridge, freezer, coffee plunger.

Lounge:
Flat screen TV, DVD player and IPOD dock, WIFI internet, wood burner, 2 one seaters, 1 two seater and 2 three seaters, coffee table and large book shelf with books and games. Corner fold out couch that sleeps 2.

Dining room:
Dining room table with seating for 6-13.

Study:
Desk with telephone (local calls only) and fold out couch that sleeps 2 children. 

Laundry:
Separate with washing machine, dryer, laundry tub, iron and ironing board. All linen and cleaning included.

Outdoor Facilities:
Decks with seaviews, outdoor entertaining area off the lounge, BBQ, outdoor table and seating for 10 and umbrella. Upstairs off the master bedroom is another deck with table, 2 chairs and an extendable shade cloth. Off street parking for 2 cars and parking for a trailer boat.

Closeby attractions: 
5-10 min walk to beautiful Palm Beach, Palm Beach Fish and Chips shop and covenience store. The Lookout Restaurant & Bar is located up the hill from Palm Beach. A 10 minute drive to the car ferry at Kennedy Point and approximately an 8 min drive to the passenger ferry located at Matiatia.
There are some beautiful walks in the area as well as a playground at Palm Beach and free BBQ facilities. Palm Beach is a beautiful sandy beach - safe swimming so good for kids, great snorkeling, diving and home to plenty of boats in summer. If the wind is blowing in from the north you can get some good surf, but generally the water is calm.  

The property has some hazards for small children due to the internal staircase and low balustrading on the decks. Provided is a gate to block access to the stairs.

Rates apply to 6 people. Add $30 per extra person per night (up to a total of 13 people).

• The house was great for our family get together. As mentioned in another feedback you need to be aware that some of the beds are rollouts and sofa beds and sharing rooms. For tall adults some of these are a wee bit small. The house has lovely views and great living and deck area. Very clean and tidy and had everything we needed for our stay.

• Great location with wonderful views over the gulf. Need a car to get most places although Palm Beach bus close by. Two issues. We ran out of data so maybe a way for the tenant to purchase and pay for additional data from the ISP? Also although technically possible to sleep 12 people, 5 of those places were either roll out beds or couches in common areas with no privacy. Okay for kids sleeping in with their parents or in living room but not really for adults.
